Accounting Manager

Qualifications:

Main area of responsibility:
Ø Financial reporting in accordance with company policies, procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to include preparation of a monthly financial package. Ø Prepares operating budget and forecasts, and interprets the results of operations compared to each. Ø Maintains fixed asset system (FAS), all property tax records, and insurance reporting. Ø Maintains appropriate systems of cost management, working capital control, and internal accounting controls. Ø Ensures adequate and timely reporting of cost and performance measurement metrics.
Qualifications:
Ø Thorough knowledge of cost and financial accounting for manufacturing facilities. Ø 5-10 years of financial control experience in a manufacturing environment, pulp and paper preferred. Ø Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Designations of Certified Management Accountant or Certified Public Accountant a plus, but not required. Ø Must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Power Point. Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to speak French a plus. Ø Self-motivated, resourceful, hands-on capabilities. Ø Supervisory experience.
