LIHTC Analyst

Description:
FPC Bangor's client is a large real estate investment firm and they are seeking a full-time Analyst in their New York City office. The selected candidate will prepare financial analyses related to multi-family acquisitions and syndications that qualify for low income housing tax credits and manage financial reporting relating to partnership entities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis within syndication models and property level acquisitions
- Monitor the performance of property investments and address discrepancies in conjunction with the preparation of quarterly reports to corporate investors
- Review and analyze partnership tax returns, internal reports and operating proformas
- Interact with asset management, accounting and acquisitions departments
- Assist senior management with special time sensitive projects
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required
- Experience in LIHTC Tax Return anlaysis and/or preperation preferred
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, cash flow and NPV/IRR analyses
- 2-5 years of partnership tax or real estate accounting experience
- Proficient in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel) as well as familiarity with Lotus
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
