Geotechnical Engineer- Entry Level
A national engineering and environmental consulting firm with a local office is in search of an entry level Geotechnical Engineer to join their successful team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in planning and executing geotechnical explorations
- Providing oversight of geotechnical investigations
- Directing drilling subcontractors
- Preparing field reports and internal correspondence
- Reviewing and compiling field and laboratory data
- Conducting engineering analyses for environmental and construction projects.
- Preparing proposals and geotechnical reports with supervision.
- Soil and groundwater sampling Requirements:
- B.S., Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus preferred) MS degree an asset
- 0 to 4 years related engineering experience
- E.I.T. (FE/EI) certificate or ability to obtain within six months
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to locations anywhere in the US for field programs
- 40 hour OSHA training a plus
- Must pass MVR and background check
