Description:
FPC Bangor is looking for candidates for a General Manager position for a roll maintenance facility in the south.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• managing the overall operations of the facility, including the shop, scheduling, traffic and process planning.
• equipment and facilities maintenance.
• As the senior operations manager, ensure that adequate resources and controls are in place to meet customer and company expectations.
• operating plant in a safe manner to protect personnel and equipment.
• budgeting, cost controls, shop efficiency and delivery performance. Maintains adequate controls over spending by remaining within budgetary limits and capital spending authority.
• Manages the staff development process, including employee selection, performance appraisals, discipline, training plans and other requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, other engineering disciplines may be acceptable with appropriate experience. MBA desirable.
Heavy machine metal working background and maintenance management experience essential. A competency in roll grinding technology is preferred.
At least 7-10 years management experience, and 2-3 years supervisory experience in roll grinding, repair or related fields is required.
